Weather forecast for Lagos

Background for this story is that it has not rained since November. Air humidity is in negative numbers and people get serious respiratory infections from all the sand/dust in the air. I water my plants twice a day (even cacti). My colleague Tobias, based in Lagos, asked two drivers about their idea as to when it will start raining (the official version is in March/April). Here is their answer:

"It will definitely not start raining before April. But it may still be raining in March or even February. Basically Lagos does not have a rainy season. So it may well rain anytime. The temperatures will be lower in the morning, then pick up and becomereally hot over lunchtime. In the afternoon it will cool down again. At night? At night it will be dark."
