I learned about newproduct from firm APIOTEK, what is a Express Card Solution for eSATA2interface.
So let´s see, what is itabout:
EC-0003S EXTREME eSATA2ExpressCard
At the first sight itattracts with it´s design, which is not exaggerated like many PC equipment, butit´s minimized to it´s purpose to be as small as possible, because the place inLaptop Bag is limited.
Look:
This device is built to newExpressCard interface (34/54 pins) , what can be appreciated by all users withExpressCard slots. Connection part of the body is made of metal, which provideslonglife of the product and of course cooling, which is neccesary. Externalpart is from quality plastic material with green LED indicator.
And of course, at the frontside there is a connector compatible with new eSATA2.
Parameters:
As mentioned above, it iscompatible with eSATA2, which is the most fastest serialATA interfacefor connecting hard-drives serially. This EC-0003 EXTREME eSATA2 ExpressCardprovides data transfer rate up to 3 Gbps(gigabits per second). Inaddition to that, this ExpressCard supports on-line speed equal to2.5Gbps
PCI Express specification.
EC-0003S also supports DirectMemory Access(DMA) or Programmed I/O(PIO) and it´s up to the user,which one of them is better for their Laptop or PC.
Device is also capable ofregulating its workload to optimum, achieve best performance and endurance,which is known as Native Command Queuing (NCQ).

Specifications:
To the most comfort of usage,manufacturers designed this device to support PC / MAC OSX 10.5 Leopard (but it doesn´t support 10.4 and ,,hotswap“ in Mac 10.5 Leopard).

This device in fastExpressCard solution is very useful, when you want to connect the newestHDD(Hard Disc Drive) to Laptop orPC. It´s up to you, whether you´ll use USB Flash disc, which capacity is1,2,4,8 GB, or connect much faster SATA2disk with capacity equal to 750GB and higher. And even now, that you canconnect it fastly through the EC-0003S: Extreme eSATA2 ExpressCard Adapter...it´s in my opinion incomparable. :)
