Arriving at the scout camp
Upon arrival everybody tired from the heat and road trip, but the introduction presentation from scouts, nice pictures, details and facts about Tatras brought people back to life. 2 film documents very really impressive and razor sharp carved the startup hopes for many adventures to come.

Working class heroes
Friday is a working day. So we had some nutritious breakfast {self made, self eaten, first come first get}, and we went for work.

Sun was up, quite hot day in front of us and no one was too much into work really. So grass matched up with us quickly and leisure time began till scouts came with transport to get us at work location. In the meantime getting to know each other was a fun story, as all other moments of the stay. I hope you liked the Fujara music I played in the mornings then, perfect relaxing minutes.
Clean the stream: task of the day. Easy to say, more difficult to do. First impression was not so bad…some litter, broken glass to be picked up. But later on the trees came, fallen down, across, like domino bricks. Big and small ones. That was a challenge for the axe and saw teams! Really some people enjoyed it…{well first 2 hours was really a speeding run}! The pace then slowly calmed down, as heat was touching us already.

Cooperation showed up as totally necessary condition when moving heavy tree trunks, mud covered branches away from stream etc. By this action we got to know each other better, jokes and shouts were the right way to catch your new friend.

And it was easy, natural. Some mud grabbing moments got shot on cameras, people black and white surprised what came out of damn stream swamp. But that was a point if the day, to learn that nothing is too easy.

Just as work, relaxing, heating sun above us, cooling water at your feet and new soulmates around you, all this bunch of great atmosphere of that moment. Even light rain showers turned into refreshing “Hello from Heaven”. Twice of course to remember the moment well.
Evening summary at the dinner was the only one> we are great team and work is going fine as everyone enjoyed the actions taken to the full.

Who said weekend is no work?
Saturday morning, little bit tired but still fresh for new adventures to live for. Breakfast again, marvelous, and off to work! But first a small grass break with the music of course, hey, no hurry here. We are hard working but take it as a holiday stay anyway.

Stream is our home. Water is our base. Shovels, saws, axes and hands are at full speed. Just combinations vary from time to time. 10 fingers on your hand and leg in the end: that is the say of the day.

Till lunch we finished our part, met the second group of co-workers , shook hands on good work and results and finally went for royal lunch.
Short after-lunch break, mostly used for a short nap {as hugely reffered by many of you}, just to start us for a horse ride. Not far away from T. Lomnica, a small housing of cowboy Baca found its place.
Horses, cows, sheep, 2 dogs and wonderful nature all around. Horse riding was quite new sport to many people from both teams. But everyone had a try and was satisfied with the view from the saddle. Some even tried the speeding on the green grass with 1 horse power motor {you know Milos> The Sancho Panza Speedy Gonzalez}.

Small refreshment with Slovak specialities> sheep cheese and other fine food was just delicious. Swing bed was the most favourite attraction at the place. Photographs never lie.

Comfort as at home, even lighting above the bed included, completely Best of What You Can Get Here Around!
The official dinner at restaurant with some traditional local music band later that evening was just a perfect end to this wonderful day. Not to leave it, the nail competition turned out to be the highlight of this eve. No one awaited such an amusement from so many people. Competition was tough and results surprisingly very even. Just seconds showed who the winner was. Not an easy task, slam the nail down to hard wood BUT with that small narrow tip of a hammer!
Trekking is not as easy
Sunday’s program was easy: relax, no work. But it was not as easy as it sounds. The expedition to the highest point of Slovakia started shortly after 4 AM! Get up, tight your laces and off we go! Dark morning turned out to be hot day later on.
But the ascent went fine, speedy, everyone wanted to be the first one at the top. Mountain guides were lucky to have such powerful teams of people with them. View from the top was very nice{2nd team later on did not have this luck} and everyone took pictures to preserve this precious moments of their lives.

Way back was full of debates about sport, Tatras, peaks and other non office themes. Back at the mountain chalet, drinking the deserved kofola {which became popular now also in Chile thanks to Francisco} we caught some more sun rays while waiting for others to return. Discussions with guides had no end. But time to go was nearing so we had to leave then .

Those who enjoy more comfortable tourism tried the trip by cableway to Lomnicky stit and had their views documented with joy. On the return Zamkovskeho chata, traditional mountain cottage was a pass point for them.
Way back
Great fun, everybody previewing the pictures, retelling stories and funny moments.
Well that is the team spirit which was empowered here. Glued by an idea of helping the region of Tatras, having good time and making new friendships. Everybody liked the stay and was surprised how fast it was over. And wanted to stay some more. Or return for the next time.
Wish to meet you again at this great place some time. Hope you will come.
