The members of the National council of the Slovak Republic adopt a proposition today, which orders Slovakian primary and secondary schools students listening the anthem compulsory every Monday, compulsory education on patriotism, public schools are required placed in any room where teaching takes place, the national emblem, flag, national anthem and the text of the Preamble of the Constitution. The same (listnening anthem, national symbols) is true in the rooms where is ongoing negotiation of local, municipal and town council and the Regional council. Slovak Television and Slovak Radio must broadcast the national anthem after midnight. Civil servants must swear allegiance to the Slovak republic. Public media must broadcast a special programme in the occasion of a national day. National anthem will be played on every sport event organized by national sport association. The proposition comes from the nationalistic and xenophobic political party SNS, which political leader is known as vulgar, homophobic and „an expert on alcohol drinks“. This party is also connected with many scandals and associated as the most corrupt party in Slovakia.
