underground treasure (which follows my post of their self titled CDR ashort while back) manages to dissolve whatever distinction existsbetween Vapaa and Keijo And The Free Players, the line-up now beingessentially identical. Whatever the case, to these ears the results areeasily the finest product yet produced under either guise. Less diffusethan The Free Players and more assertively composerly than prior Vapaamissives, this unwieldily titled release dramatically reorients theirmodus operandi, with a degree of musical maturation and a certainelusive elan present here that edges this toward the territory ofNorway's Supersilent and that'd almost qualify this for release on RuneGrammofon, if the country of origin were Norway rather than Finland.One of the current peaks of the Finnish scene.

Their mastermind Alain Neffe is also founder of InsaneMusic, one of the first great underground tape labels in Europe.Guy-Marc Hinan is one of the two guy's who made the "Sub Rosa" recordlabel. Xavier S used to have a radio show on the Belgian nationalradio. The group had been temporarily shelved while Alain Neffeconcentrated on his main project Bene Gesserit.
