Despite their accumulated wealth, Black Sabbath remain underdogs at heart as this performance shows. Reprising the classic songs from the classic lineup of Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward, this is a high energy show from the start of their 1999 Reunion Tour.
There are none of the trappings for a superstar reunion, no special guests, no extra musicians, none of the meticulous choreographing for an event. ItÕs just four musicians "getting back" to their roots, playing their best songs and as loud as can be and as rude as they like.
This is a fist in the air salute at authority, the very reason why heavy metal was invented in the first place. Here are the songs about destruction, drugs, war and the occult. Never meant to be a body blow at empire but a roar of independence for the people caught on the wrong side of society. A very nice soundboard recording in mono. Never released before.
