Perfektne, aj ked v strede tam uz bolo vela tych bitiek. A nedovtipil som sa, ako zomrel. Sam od seba sa rozhodol to ukoncit?

Nie, sipy, zomrel hrdinskou smrtou? Zomrel, aby nezabil. Zomrel, lebo nechal zit. Zomrel, lebo pochopil, ze najvacsie umenie je nechat zit.

Je to hrozne kontroverzna myslienka. Je to propaganda? Je to laska k bliznemu? Je to svetova vlada, ospravedlnenie vojen? Je to odpustanie? Rezignacia? Skromnost? Paradox ucelu svetiaceho prostriedky. Zabit Hitlera? Ano, ano, jasne ze ano. Alebo nie?

Duro nic. Ale poslal som mu zasa:
Aj etika v sebe moze mat trochu racionality. Nijak nevnucujes 'ends' ale navrhujes 'means'. Potom uz je na kazdom, ako sa rozhodne.
Ale spat k 'all under heaven' - tento message ide ovela dalej ako krestanske principy, aj ked Jezisovo ucenie bolo uz dost daleko. Ucel nesvati prostriedky. Takze nezabijes Hitlera?
V tomto je krestanska 'etika' na strane zabitia v sebaobrane (inac aj pacificky liberalizmus), len kedy je to priama sebaobrana a kedy 'preventivny utok'? Hero hovori, ze nezabijes nikdy. Mas nechat vodcu 'zjednocovat all under heaven' ked zabija tvoju rodinu? Mas rezignovat v boji proti totalite lebo 'vnutri' budes vitazom/hrdinom? Tak to neviem...

“I think all these explanations are too simplistic. You have to think through
the consequences of your actions to the final end and then judge which
possibility is better. Even hero will kill sometimes but he will not if he
is convinced that in the very long run, the unification obtained by the
sword will lead to a better life for all. This very long range thinking is
not popular nor easy but it underlies, in my opinion, the whole concept in
hero.
