Vyrastať na ostrove dá človeku inú perspektívu, hlavne čo sa týka dopravy. Pokiaľ je viac malých ostrovčekov pri sebe a nie sú prepojene mostmi, tak lode a trajekty sú tým ,,pravým orechovým“. Aj na veľmi krátke vzdialenosti sa niekedy skôr oplatí isť loďou, ako autom/autobusom. Často aj teraz, keď sa vraciam na Maltu za svojimi rodičmi, využívam lodnú prepravu zo Sliemy do Valletty. Je to len 1,2 km a cesta trvá do desiatich minút. Pokiaľ by som šiel autom, tak tá vzdialenosť sa zväčší cca na 7 km.

Niečo o mne...

Doteraz som sa venoval a pomáhal študentom a Slovákom žijúcim na Malte. Vrátil som sa žiť späť na Slovensko. Mám v pláne pokračovať v tomto duchu aj tu, doma. Na všetky Vaše otázky, postrehy Vám veľmi rád odpoviem. Nebránim sa ani konštruktívnej kritike. Rád s vami prediskutujem Vaše názory a postrehy. Som tu pre Vás.

Power to ...

Surprise surprise loads of new things have cropped up this month. We've seen apes going bananas over transcripts that have been proved to be real. Regular citizens have taken their plight to the street hoping for a ... future. We'll see what the future brings in the coming days and weeks. Let's hope that what this country was originally born with does prevail. Just as a gentle reminder "Pravda vítězí" (Truth prevails / Veritas vincit)!

Slovak ministerial delegation in...

Recently I had the pleasure of meeting a Slovak ministerial delegation in Malta. On the 26 of October H.E. Jahnatek, Minister of Economy of the Slovak Republic, opened the Honorary Consulate in Malta. I was happy, actually ecstatic, of meeting my fellow country men holding such important posts. Well the minister himself looked a decent person, at first sight. When he heard me speak in Slovak, he said “look someone speaks Slovak here (and does not form part of my delegation)” I was happy that he noticed me, it showed his human side. Interesting, people occupying a high public post are usually not that humane.

My ESIB Experience

Since my first ESIB event in autumn of 2003 many things have changed within this organization. Over the past 3 years I have witnessed many people come and leave this European-wide organization. I saw 3 chairmen / chairwomen in this organization.
